Kerry Mwita

Kerry Mwita is an award-winning Kenyan human rights activist and youth leader who advocates for social accountability, gender rights, and sexual and reproductive health.

Notably, Mwita has championed advocacy calling for the establishment of gender justice courts in Migori County to ensure timely justice for Gender-Based Violence victims who are mostly females.

Due to his upbringing in a region with minimal proper health services and an area characterised by a high rate of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Mwita decided to dedicate his time to advocating for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.

He currently serves as the Board Vice Chairperson for the Safe Engage Foundation and has won several awards, including the Top 40 under 40 Men Award 2024 from Business Daily Africa.

He also won the African Art for Advocacy Award 2023 and was a finalist for the Africans Rising Activist of the Year Award 2024.
